ATTRACTIONS
Attractions
Tung Lung Chau: Located at the southern tip of Sai Kung and surrounded by the sea, the island is known for its dramatic cliffs and open Clear Water Bay views.
Lei Yue Mun: A historic fishing village on the waterfront in Yau Tong, Kowloon, with a history of more than 150 years. Residents once made a living from quarrying and fishing; today it is renowned for seafood.
Lei Yue Mun Seafood Street: Beyond the village archway, narrow lanes are lined with seafood stalls and restaurants. The traditional arrangement lets visitors choose seafood at the front and have it cooked by a restaurant behind.
Lei Yue Mun Lighthouse and lookout: A small green lighthouse on the rocks still guides vessels through the channel. The open lookout offers views of the eastern entrance to Victoria Harbour and the high-rises of eastern Hong Kong Island.
Tin Hau Temple: Founded in 1753 during the Qianlong reign, this Grade 3 historic building stands among large rocks facing the sea. Two historic cannons are positioned in front of the temple.
Sam Ka Tsuen former quarry site: About a 10-minute walk beyond Tin Hau Temple, this former Kowloon granite quarry retains large exposed rock faces, old stone structures and an abandoned small pier. In autumn, golden silvergrass covers the slopes, making the ruins a popular photography location.
