Ngong Ping & Tai O Day Tour
Travel across Lantau Island to visit Po Lin Monastery, the Big Buddha and Tai O fishing village, taking in mountain scenery, culture and village life at a relaxed pace.

ITINERARY
Itinerary
Suggested itinerary: Travel from the meeting point to Ngong Ping for mountain and cultural attractions, then continue to Tai O fishing village. Approximately 7–8 hours for the day.
09:00 Meet-up: Meet at Tung Chung Station or the designated pick-up point. Introduction to the cable car, mountain route and cultural themes.
11:00 Ngong Ping cultural visit: Stroll through Ngong Ping Village and visit the exterior grounds of Po Lin Monastery, the Big Buddha and nearby cultural attractions.
12:30 Lunch: Enjoy a vegetarian meal, tea snacks or light meal at Ngong Ping and take a group break.
Alternatively, 13:30 Lunch: Travel by coach to Tai O for a local-style lunch and group break.
14:30 Tai O: Observe village life along the waterways and stilt houses.
16:00 Return: Travel from Tai O to the dispersal point, allowing time for transport and gathering. Tour ends at about 17:30.

Attractions
Ngong Ping 360: The cable car connects Tung Chung and Ngong Ping and offers aerial views of Lantau’s mountains and coastline. Please enquire if you would like a cable-car arrangement.
Ngong Ping Village and Po Lin Monastery: A guided visit linking cultural scenery, monastery architecture and public spaces; the route depends on opening arrangements on the day.
Tian Tan Buddha and Wisdom Path: A cultural and nature segment featuring Buddhist heritage, mountain paths and scenic viewpoints. Stairs and slopes can be adjusted to suit the group’s fitness level.
Tai O: Learn about traditional fishing-village life along the waterways and stilt houses.

The route brings together cable-car and mountain scenery, Buddhist culture and stilt houses over the water, and can be adjusted. Suitable for school groups, families and friends, corporate groups, and groups interested in nature and culture. Walking level is low to moderate; Ngong Ping includes stairs and slopes and may involve sun exposure.

Not included: Fees for additional accompanying staff (if any) and insurance.

Please check the insurance arrangements and coverage stated in the quotation when confirming the itinerary. You may arrange suitable insurance separately for personal needs.
This is a suggested private-group route. Departure date, meeting point, transport, attractions and meals are subject to the itinerary and quotation confirmed by both parties.
If the Hong Kong Observatory issues Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning, within two hours before departure, the tour will be cancelled. Please contact us on the next working day after the original departure date to discuss rescheduling.
